Our Bandroom

The home of Auckland City Brass Inc. is our purpose-built bandroom at 98 Captain Springs Road, Onehunga, Auckland 1061. The main room easily fits a full seated brass band (35 players) or 60 seated auditorium-style, and the building also boasts a kitchen, bar, lounge area, and onsite carpark.

Our bandroom can be hired by community organisations on an ongoing or one-off basis. Our standard hire rate is $30+GST per hour, with a minimum booking time of three hours. Use of chairs and music stands is included in the hire rate; use of percussion instruments is by prior agreement only. We are actively seeking expressions of interest from groups wanting to hire the space on weekdays during business hours, and open to enquiries about other times. Note that Auckland City Brass Inc. relocated from the Old Pumphouse at Three Kings Reserve to Captain Springs Road after the Old Pumphouse suffered significant damage in the 2023 Auckland Anniversary Weekend floods. Those who have been involved in Auckland brass bands for some time may know our current home as the City of Sails, Dalewool, or Continental bandroom – City of Sails Auckland Brass Inc. amalgamated into Auckland City Brass Inc. in 2025.
